Joni Parker
Hi, my name’s Joni Parker and I joined the group in 2016 when I moved to Tucson. I started writing fiction late in life. Up to that point, all my writing was work or school-related. I have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, an MBA, and a MMAS (Master of Military Arts and Sciences from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College). For work, I was a Navy photographer for three years and later commissioned as an officer, completing a 22 year career. After my husband passed, I went to work for the Department of Homeland Security at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. In 2010, I retired to devote my time to writing. I love it. I’ve written two series of books, seven in all, and a number of short stories, published in anthologies. I have a website/blog at http://www.theblackelf.com/ where I post reviews, samples of my writing, and anything else I can think of. I’m on twitter at https://twitter.com/ParkerJoni and I have a Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/AuthorJoniParker where I post a link to any blog post that I find interesting, mostly about writing. Stop by and say hello. Nice to meet you!
